Welcome to the NC Plus Program!

If you are buying a new home, make sure it's an NC Plus Program home. It's a smart financial decision. Here's why.

  • With the NC Plus Program you get a more comfortable home that is better for the environment, is likely to have higher resale value, that offers better protection against increases in energy costs, and your total monthly costs will be lower!
  • Over the life of your home, those monthly savings will add up to thousands of dollars.
  • Receive a cash rebate for making the smart decision to purchase an NC Plus Program home.
  • The program is backed by the nationally recognized ENERGY STAR® brand created by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and supported by the North Carolina State Energy Office.
Find an NC Plus Program Retailer

To purchase an NC Plus Program home, hear more about the benefits, and qualify for the rebate, start by visiting a participating home retailer. For a list of participating retailers, click here. Your retailer will provide a customized energy and cost savings report and review the other benefits of purchasing an NC Plus Program home.
Estimate Your Savings

When you purchase a home, your monthly costs include payments on your mortgage (loan payments) and energy costs paid to your utility company. NC Plus Program homes may cost more, increasing the loan payment amount, but will reduce your monthly utility bills. For families buying an NC Plus Program home in North Carolina, the savings in utility bills will be greater than the increase in loan costs, putting money back in your pocket each month. To estimate your energy savings, use the Savings Analyzer by clicking here.
